Does every knee problem require surgery?
No. Many conditions can be managed without surgery. A surgical recommendation depends on the diagnosis, limitations and available alternatives.
Do I need an MRI before my appointment?
You do not need to arrange tests on your own. Bring any existing scans and reports. Further investigations are guided by the clinical assessment.
How long does recovery take?
Recovery depends on the injury, procedure and individual progress. Discuss work, driving, crutches and return to sport during the appointment. There is no single recovery timeline for all knee surgery.
Are consultations private-pay?
Yes. The team explains fees and documentation for potential reimbursement of consultations, procedures and surgery. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your insurer and policy, including any restrictions on care outside your home country. Full reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Can I arrange an online consultation from the United States?
Online consultations may be available after the team confirms clinical suitability and the rules that apply where you will be physically located. Availability in a US state is not assumed. An in-person examination may still be required.
What should I arrange before traveling to Brazil?

Does every meniscus tear need a repair?
No. Rehabilitation, repair and partial meniscectomy have different indications. Preserving meniscus tissue is considered whenever feasible.
Does the form confirm an appointment?
