01
Meniscus repair and suturing
Sutures bring the torn edges together to support healing while preserving tissue. Suitability depends on the tear pattern, location, tissue quality and overall knee condition.
02
Alternatives to repair
Some tears can be managed with rehabilitation. In selected cases, removing only unstable tissue — partial meniscectomy — may be considered. These options are discussed after assessment.
03
Recovery after repair
Weight-bearing, knee bending and return to sport may require additional protection after repair. Rehabilitation depends on the tear, associated procedures and clinical progress.
